African Mango Extract – Side Effects You Should Know About

by on January 25, 2012

African MangoI’ve been investigating the side effects of African Mango extract for some time now, here’s my report…

One of the biggest problems faced when using diet supplements that claim to help weight loss are their side effects. Of course, many of them don’t do anything at all to help you lose weight but what’s worse are the side effects that surface after you have started using the diet pills. This is why it is always preferable to use diet pills like the African mango extract which act naturally without interfering with the basic metabolism of the body.

Many years back, use of the diet supplements available at that time led to very severe side effects and even death. This led to very strict controls in their usage and medication. It also increased awareness among people that not all diet supplements which claim weight loss would work. Hence, people are much choosier nowadays and one of the main points that they look for in a diet supplement are the side effects.

Orlistat is the only anti-obesity medication that has been approved by the FDA for long term use. There are several medications out there but they have not been approved as their side effects are much more severe and greater than the benefits. In several countries, some of the common medicines like rimonabant have been banned due to the severe side effects.

The problem with these medications and many diet supplements in general is that none seek to address the core issue. The core issue for any many people with weight problems is the fact that the appetite continues to be excessive for these people even though they have taken this medication. So, they tend to continue eating more and more and this basically neutralizes what the medication tries to do. Even if some of the diet pills control the appetite, they do it in an artificial manner, the reason for several side effects.

Diet pills like fen-phen have severe side effects and in some cases, even death. Others also have side effects which are mainly due to the way that they act on the system. The side effects include high blood pressure, glaucoma, palpitations etc. Compared to this, African mango diet pills have little or no side effects. Several clinical trials have been carried out on humans and animals as well and these have shown that the African mango extract is highly effective at working with the digestive system to act as an appetite suppressant.

It does this by controlling the secretion of a hormone called Leptin. In obese people, this hormone is secreted less, and hence they continue to have a big appetite. But African mango diet pill increases the secretion of this hormone and this control the appetite to a great extent. Digestion is also slowed which ensures that the feeling of fullness in the stomach continues till the time for the next meal.

As can be seen above, the way it works is very natural and easy , and, very effective! It has shown minor side effects during clinical trials including insomnia, which is caused due to the increased energy levels due to the high burn rate of fats and carbohydrates and perhaps by the caffeine added to some of these pills, and flatulence, which is general for all dietary supplements which help in weight loss and will go away after a few days when the body would get used to it. Some people report trouble sleeping while adjusting to the supplement.

African Mango extractCompare this to the commonly used anti-obesity drug, Orlistat, which blocks absorption of fats and hence causes the fat to be released as part of the bowel movements. Hence the stools are oil and stomach pain often exists when this drug is used.

This is in addition to the flatulence. Likewise, another commonly used drug is Acarbose. Similar to Orlistat, it blocks the absorption of carbohydrates and leads to similar side effects like stomach pain and flatulence. These drugs are considered to be comparatively safer than other pills available in the market.

It is pretty clear that with no or negligible side effects, the benefits of African mango diet pills far outweigh the side effects. It also does not interfere with any previous medication that the person may be undergoing. But, As always, it is better to consult with your doctor/nutritionist before you start using any new medication along with others.

It also needs to be remembered that the African mango extract is only a diet supplement and so should not be expected to replace any part of the diet that you normally take. It also needs to be remembered that like most other medication, this is not suggested for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

So, considering the fact that the African mango diet pills has less side effects compared to other common anti-obesity drugs and acts in the most natural way along with the body mechanism (rather than against it) to help in weight-loss, it can be used as a safe diet supplement. This is why its popularity is increasing by the day.
